Design
Build Process
At
Chapman Homes, we offer a very special service. We call it our Design
Process.
For a small, non-refundable up-front fee, we’ll work with you to provide a precise
design and estimate on your project. We’ll price the home
and give you very detailed specification sheets so you’ll
know exactly what is and what’s not included. And we’ll
go back and forth with you for as long as it takes to give you what
you want.
That’s Phase I of the process. Once
you’re
satisfied that the home or office is just right for
you, you’ll
sign a contract that locks in the price. We’ll ask for 2%
earnest money deposit toward the purchase of the house and start
the working drawings. That’s
where Phase II begins.
During
this phase, you’ll meet with our
in-house interior designer who will help you select all of your options
such as tile, granite,
carpets and vinyl flooring, appliances, light fixtures, door selections,
stucco colors and any other specialty items for the house. This is
a great service that’s included in the price.
By the
time the working drawings are done, Phase III of the contract which
states the final price and plans is signed, and we start building
the house.
